An interesting invention, patented by Mr. N. M'Lean, of Palmerston North, is advertised in this issue. It is a fire-screen, which can be fixed 011 to the sido of the mantelpiece nnd remain there. Besides being convenient it is said to be ornamental. The gauze is on a spring-roller and works exactly like a spring-blind. All sales are made subject to satisfaction being given.
