DR. SCHLINK'S ALLEGED SYMPATHIES. By; Telegraph—Press Association—Copyright (Rec. July 25, 11.30 p.m.) Sydney, July 25. At the Liverpool . Camp Inquiry Mrs; M'Kinnon, a relative by marriage of Dr. Schlink, gave evidence that the doctor in a conversation with her declared that the physical condition of the Aus- • tralians gave them no chance against, the fine men of the German army. Dr. Schlink, recalled, denied the allegation, and added: "I have never been in Germany, and know nothing of the physical standard of the German army." Air. Orchard, M.P., cross-examined, admitted that he knew that the<: onW' ground upon which Senator Milieu- haS based tho charges against Dr. Schlink' was that the latter allegedly had said that tho Gormans "were not beaten yet." Ho admitted. that that was no ground for charges of disloyalty, and having German sympathies which ha 4 been preferred against Dr. Schlink.
