Messrs. J. and N. Taifc are introducing M. Francis do Bourguignon to Melbourne musical patrons. This distinguished artist, before the outbreak of war, held tlib important positions of Court pianist to Her Majesty tlio Queen of Belgium and Professor of tlio Koyal Conservatoire of Music, Brussels. At the commencement of hostilities M. Bourguignon, like many others of his gallant littlo country, joined the colours- and fought ii\ tho trenches at Termondo and Malineß, and subsequently at Antwerp, from wliero he was invalided by tho authorities owing to illhealth caused by the strenuous fighting conditions.
