Henry True, a Russian Finn, a seaman, who was shockingly mutilated by being tuh over by a train last evening, died in the Hospital, at midday. DEATH FROM MINE ACCIDENT. '' Hamilton, July 15. Join Lloyd, who had both thighs fractured and rcfoived other injuries by a ifall .of coal in the Huntly mines on Tuesday, died in - the Waikato Hospital yesterday. , • FOUND DROWNED. ' Te Kultl, July 15. James Paget, a middle-aged wagon driver, was. found drowned at the Mokau River at l'iopio yesterday morning. Ho had been missing since Sunday. _ ,The body was brought to Te Kuiti yesterday,, and at an inquest last night a Terdict of found drowned was returned. ; WALK INTO THE OPEN SEA. Napier, Jfily 15., A man named T. J. Stevenson walked into tho open sea off the' beach this afternoon and was drowned. After being in the water for. about fifteen minutes ho was brought to the beach by the aid of a life-line, and efforts to restore animation' were unsuccessful. The. deceased, who was , practically unknown in Napier, had been here for a few days only. Ho told tho licensee of the hotel at'which lie was staying that, ho was chief engineer at the Tokomaru Bay freezing works, and had just undergone a surgical operation in Wellington. A letter wa,s fonnd in his pocket addressed to him at Carswcll Levels, South Canterbury. A short time before ho was seen to wall: info the Sea lie received a telegram from. Masterton. Stevenson had been, very despondent sinco arriving hero.
