Miss Adelaide van Staveren, the wellknown New Zealand mezzo soprano, was recently offered but refused the post of leading mezzo soprano in the Castelano .Opera Company in its tour of South America, states the "British Australasian." Owing to the absence of Mr. and Mrs. Harkness from their residence in Khandallali oh Saturday, the' demonstration on fruit trees will be postponed.
