■ Lieutenant William. Peachey Aldridge, who is • reported'to have been wounded while serving; with the Wellington Infantry iii; Gallipoli, is an Auckland boy, being the third sou of Mr. George Aldridge, of Auckland. Lieutenant Ajdridgo has always been a _keen Territorial officer, and Iris' activity, and -efficiency in that connection have been officially appreciated in the Auckland district.' In private life, as an officer in the service of the Telegraph Department, he was for a time in the Auckland office, and later was -stationed at Wakapuaka (Nelson); Invercargill, Inglewood, and Wanganui. He was at Wanganui when ho'enlisted with the 3rd 'Reinforcements, and was given the post of senior subalter;i in the Wellington B Company.
