' (By Telegraph.—Press Association.) Dunedin, June 30. _ Customs duties paid at Dunedin during the month ended to-day were practically double those' paid in June, 1914, the figures being £65,044 2s. lid., ad against £32,553 Is. 2d. Up .to the loth instant the Customs duties were about £12,000, while from May 15 they reached the neiglibdurhood of £54,000* The beer duty for the month was £4906 Bs. 7d., as against £2523 17s. 2d. in June of 191-1. ■■■" There was no gold exported. . The. vital statistics for June are as follow, thoso for the corresponding month of last year are given in parentheses:—Births, 133 (151); deaths, 80 (94); marriages, Go (70). The figures for the half, year ended to-day are .as follow, those for 1914 given in parentheses : —Births, 860 (860); deaths, 440 (443); marriages,. 307 (373).
