Dalgety and Co., Limited, report having held sales of pedigree Ayrshire cattle during the Palmerston North Winter Show week, on account of Mr. John Parline, -Hororata, Canterbury, and' Messre. Web and Sons, Koputaroa. There was a good o.ttendance, and the cattle were widely distributed amongst buyers from, the surrounding districts, and also from nanganui, Taranaki, Dannevirke, Garierton, Waikanae, Bawera, Maryborough, Matamt, Norsewood, and Woodville. Parlane'e cattle:—Yearling to 16-months heifers, 4, -4}, 5, 7, BJ, 9, 12, 12J to 16 guineas; 2-year heifers, 11, 13J, 15, 204 to 21 guineas; cows, 12, 14, 15, 16, 17, 20, 26 to 61 guineas; bulls, 7, 13J to 14 guineas. Ltd., report haying held their usual weekly sale at Levin yards, last Wednesday. On the day, at Albert Road, for Mr. W. E. Orr, jun.'s, clearing sale, dairy oows were in fair condition, showing good returns, and sold at from £5 for late calvers to MO 10s. for good young sorts, making a fair average of £7 10s. for the line of 21. Farm horses were in keen demand, realising £27 to £31 6s. • P.M. ewes in lamb, 12s. 3d. to 17s. At Lidhirst, on June 24, 'for Mr. W. Hardy Jones's sale, there was good bidding for- all lines offered. The herd of cows were-a nice line, selling at from £7 ss. to £12 10s., averaging £9 3s. for the line; springing heifer? brought £6 15s. and £7. On.account of other vendors, springing heifer 6, choice, made £7 10s. and £8 10s.
