SHEEP RETURNS
The interim sheep return presented to Parliament .yesterday showed that the approximate number of sheep in the Dominion in 1915 was 24,465,526, as compared with 24,798,763 for the preceding year. In all 2,392,213 mutton carcasses were exported, as against 2,230,962 for 1914, and 3,456,597 lamb carcasses for 1915, and 3,808,006 for 1914. The decrease of sheep in the Dominion was 169,591 in the North Island and ; 163,646 in the South Island. Farmers seli their produce such as milk, butter, eggs, and cream by the test and result method, or if they do • not they'-'ought to. We pride ourselves to-day, after four years of work, having adopted the policy of buying our raw cream-on that method, and starting four I years ago we had fifteen suppliers, to-day ■we have close up to two hundred.
