MOERAKI FROM SYDNEY.
Due ill port from Sydney to-morrow morning the Mosraki is bringing 35 saloon and 72 steerage passengers to New Zealand. She has 640 tons, of cargo for Wellington. The Moeraki wlil proceed on to Lyttelton ■ tomorrow evening, returning to Wellington ia time to sail for Sydney at 5 p.m. on Thursday next. PATEA HARBOUR BOARD. The balance-sheet of the Patea Harbour Board for the year ending December 31, 1914, which is just to hand, shows a debit balance' of £1462 Bs. 6d. The statement of assc*' and liabilities shows an excess of the former over the later of £29,366 Is. Ed. In the receipts for the year, inward wharfage is set down at £1145 os. 3d., and outward wha.rfa.go at £1452 Bs. 7d., less railage and oarta-g?. This makes a total of £2050. 9s. Other revenue totalled £1820 lfc. 9d. JIESS-TABLE GOSSIP. Captain Baron, of tho Flora, having gone on holiday, Captain J. Scott, of the R-lierua. lias taken charge oi tho vessel. Captain Nicholson, late chief officer of tho Pateeua, is now in charge of the Kowhai. Sir. Mackenzie has temporarily joined the Regulus as second mate in place of Mr. Bi'ggett. Mivsi's. J. Cable, Mr. J. Preston, H. 8. Ma lining, and W. A. Wright, all members of the Union Company's local office staff, have enlisted and have been accepted for active, service. Captain J. CarEO, formerly of the Andrew Weir Line, is in charge of the steamer Oroana, now in port, and he has the following officers .associated with him:-Chief, Jtr W L. Tracy; second, Mr. A. Mackenzie; third, Mr. Thos. Bell; clrcf engineer, Mr. G Rosson; second, Mr. J. Eodgerson; third, Mr A. Taylor; fourth, Mr. R. Wright. Mr. G. Rosron, the chief engineer, superintended the buildiiig of tho vessel fl-t tlie build* era' yards. As day succeeds day tho Mararoa is becoming more shipshake as she lays along* Bide the Clyde Quay Wharf. The favourite passenger steamer has undergone a transformation. Sho will leave for Auckland shortly to be docked before entering the Sydne'v-Auckland running. Latest information concerning the Indrabarali is that she is expected to arrive at Wellington from London, v'a Auckland, Gisborne, and Napier, on Thursday. The vessel will complete discharge, commence loading, and sail for Wanganui on Monday next. . Before proceeding on to northern ports the Monowai will land over 400 tons of southern cargo here to-day. Intending passengers are notified that the departure of the Wimmera from Wellington for southern ports, Hobart. and Melbourne has been postponed till 5 p.m. to- * The Sha.w-Bo.viU liner K ! a Or a. has been delayed hy wet wether at the Bluff. She will not leave there for Waitara and Wellington before 2 p.m. to-day. Departure will be taken from this port for London towards the end of this week, or the beginning of next week. Bound from Vancouver to Sydney tho Niagara left Suva for AucMand on Friday morning. She is due at the northern port with mails to-day. • After having made several trips between Wellington and Timaru, the Chatham Islands steamer _ Rimitangi is about to pay another visit to the Islands. Sho will leave Wellington to-morrow for Lyttelton, Waitflugi. WhanEtirctt, Kaingaroa, Owenga, and I'Lit Island.
