« "Pf The Belvedere School Committee has decided to make application to the Education Board for a sufficient supply of laurel trees for tlie purpose of planting a- hedge along the front boundary of the school grounds, tho work of planting same to be carried out on Arbor Day by members of tho committeo and school' children. The AVairarapa South County Council on Saturday voted £'25 towards tho Sick and Wounded Relief Funds. The Carterton Ladies' Committeo, with tho help nf the school children last week, dispatched to the Mayoress of Wellington 78 Balaclavas and 12 scarves. A quantity of clothing lias also been donated by a number ol lady residents.
