'AN INCIDENT IX BELGIUM. To tho deep indignation of the population of Brussels, two Belgians recently attended a German performance at the Theatre Moiuiaie. One of them was M. Dwelshsuers, a professor of Brussels University. The Administrative Council of the University met immediately, requesting Professor Dwelshauers to attend. The president, Professor Heger, having desired liiin to givo an explanation of his action Professor Dwelshauers said he had regarded the occasion merely as an artistic reunion. Leaping to his feet, tho president pointed to a number of photographs which he held in his hand. "These, Monsieur," he said, "are portraits of your students who have died on the field of honour. The fete you attended was in honour of their murderers." The council unanimously resolved to remove Professor Dwelshauers from further exercise of bis functions.
