BOWLING
LYALL BAY CLUB. The annual meeting of the Lyall Bay Club was attended by 33 members. The following officers .were elected:—President, Mr. J. Fairway; secretary, Mr. W. H. Mcrrah; treasurer, Mr. C. J. Ashton ; directors, Messm. P. G. Easson, J. Fairway, J. T. Robinson, and J. R. Stansell; auditor, Mr. E. C. Dallison; delegates to Wellington Centre, Messrs. J. Fairway, W; H. Morrah; Entertainment Committee, Messrs. R. Critohley, E. C. Dallison, J. T. Robinson, G. A. Stone, E. C. Tyrrell, and H. A. Ward; Matoh Committee, Messrs. J. Fairway, B. Martin, and W. H. Morrah. Votes of thanks were passed to the retiring president, Mr. J. C. Tonks, ' and the retiring director, Mr. C. Foster, and the selector, Mr. J. G. Brown. Tho meeting was an enthusiastio one, and the ' membership of the club will be considerably increased before the sea6on opens. A special effort is to be made Vv tho members to pay off the balance of the bank overdraft at once. The Green Committee reported that the green wa3 in excellent condition, and promises to be in perfect oTdor for play noxl season.
