ATHLITIC SPORTS

RUGBY TO-DAY'S ATTRACTIONS. Rugby games ill all grades are being resumed this afternoon, after having been postponed for two Saturdays owing to the Carnival proceedings. The bulk of public support will probably' be extended to the'match between Oriental and Athletic at the Athletic Park. Although Oriental started the season badly, they have sin'oe been playing to form, and with several replacements in their ranks they may furfy extend the leaders. The welcome reappearance of Kinvig and Pegden, two of last season's best players, should make a lot of difference. and the team's supporters are in bifth liopes of lowering the colours of Athletic for the first time this season. Selwyn will be seen in action against University on the other .ground. Petone meet Wellington at Petone, while a fast, open game should eventuate in the meeting between Poneke and Trentham at tho Lower Hutt.
