Abraham and Williams, Ltd., report;—At Palmerston on, Thursday we offered a fair yarding of sheep and a small ontry .of. cattle, which sold at the following rates:—Two-tooth- to four-year, owes, in lamb, 205.; light fat ewes, 14s:; fat wethers, ■ 23a.'7d.;'forward ewes, 14s. to 155.; .lambs,--10s.-'lid; to 13s. 2d. to' 15s. 6d.; springing. cows,-" £8 10a.; heifers in calf, £4 -ss. to . £4.105.; store cows, £2 ss. to £3 12s. 6d. ' Messrs.'Dalgety and. Company. Ltd., report having held their monthly sale in their Waikanae yards., on Tuesday, when they offered tan-exceptionally good yarding of ,- sheep and .a small entry of cattle. The. special entry of sheep advertised by us,on account of Mr. H. Bond came forward in excellent ordor-and condition, and for 'a line of four-tooth, to f.f.m. breeding ewes, exceptionally, keen competition took place, the line eventually being disposed of at tho satisfactory figure of Ms. Other sales were as under:—Two and four-tooth wethers, 205.; medium shorn lambs, 10s. 2d.; cull lambs,-6s. Id.; failing-mouth breeding ewes. 16s. Id.; fair-condition empty ewes, 145.; small two-year-old steers, £4 25.; woanor-' steers. 265. Mes6rS.-.Dalgety and-Company, Ltd., report. having .held their weekly tale in Levin Yards "oh- .Wednesday, when they offered a spedtpl'.'yarding " of v .hoggets totalling 3500,..a150 a good.entry of fat sheep and-cattle.'. Compared with late rates, prices for good "hoggets advanced-from 6d. to 9d. per headr quality of our yarding for fat sheep was good, and very satisfactory prices - wert, realised; one line of wethers offered"on account of Mr. N. Kirkcaldie made the good price of 30s.' Eat cattle were rather easier; prices wero lower than lasti.week's rates. The majority of the hoggets' sold went to buyers from the Feilding and Waikato districts. The following wero : the-principal solos effected; Prime fat wethers,- 305.; medium wethers, 255. 3d., :255. 'Bd., 275., 2d.; medium fat ewes, 20s. 1d., : 21s. 3d., 2ls. Bd.; light bullooks, £10 65.; light fat cows, £6 12s. to £7 4s. Store sheep: Good shorn ewe, hoggets, 14s. lOd. to 15.; good shorn wether hoggets, 13e. 7d. to 14s. 2d.; medium hoggets,. lis. 4d. to 12s. 5d.; cull hoggets, 9s. 9d. to 10s. Bd.; store cows, £2 10s. to £3 4s, . Messrs. Dalgety 'and Company, Ltd., report having held- a dairy sale on account of Major Addington on the form at Otaki on.Thursday. The-herd of 60 cows offered came' forward in' very good condition, but unfortunately the majority of the cows--were oid-. end very late calvers. Competition was dull, but at the end of the day we . succeeded in disposing lof the whole herd at what must be considered Mr value. Prices ranged from £4 to £7 15s.
