FIERCE ARTILLERY DUEL THE FIGHT FOR TOLMINO ITALIAN CAVALRY'S DASH (Rec. June 10, 0.60 a.m.) Roma, June 9. The duel for Tolmino continues with unabated fierceness. The Italians at Monte Nero are pouring hundreds of high explosive shells on the Austrian entrenched positions. Italian cavalry, with matchless dash and bravery, seized the eastern bank of the Isonzo, after swimming the flooded river. . The Italian artillery is markedly superior to the Austrian. The obioct of the bombardment of the Castle of Duino, the magnificent' residence of i,be Hohenlohe family, is the possession of the Gulf of Panzano, which will make a strong base against Monfalcone.
