it RESTRICTING EXPORTS IN VICTORIA. By Telegraph— Prose Association—Copyright Melbourne, June 3. In the Assembly, the Hon. F. Hagelthorn (Minister of Public Works), in dealing with the meat shortage, announced that the exporters had decided to make availablo all meat deemed to be surplus, at a price slightly higher than tlioso arranged in the original Government arrangement. Tho Government is cabliug these prices to the Imperial Government, and is also representing that in view of the shortago in Victoria it should be considered that the export season has practically terminated, and that meat at present held in Victoria is primarily needed for local consumption.
