MAGISTRATE'S COURT
POLICE CASES
D. G. A. Cooper, S.M., presided, over a sitting of the Magistrate's Court yesterday. Robert PitcaithJey appeared on ramand, charged with the theft of money from his employer, David K. Blair. Five additional charges were preferred against Mm in this respect, making in all six onarges, the respective amounts bring as follow :• £25, £23 10s., £7 10s„ £7 J ® 3 -' 8s ; , and £25 18s. 4d.-a total of £106 Gs. 4d. Mr. P. U\ Jackson, on accuseds behalf, asked for a further remana for a week. The remand w;as granted, bail being renewed. Margaret M'Hngh elected to be tried by jury on a charge of beiug a rogue and a vagabond, with, insufficient means of support. She pleaded not guilty, and was committed to th~o Supreme Court for trial, bail being allowed in £25.
