THE KING'S THEATRE. "Shannon of the Sixth," a spectacular military drama, dealing with the historical events of the Indian Mutiny, but adding a gripping love storj', is the chief attraction at the King 3 Theatre. The "Pathe Gazette" this woek also shows some remarkable views, including one of Lord Kitchener inspecting the new recruits at Liverpool. The supporting films are particularly good, and contain one of groat merit, entitled "Australia Will Be Thero." "WILL THEY NEVER COME?" Excellent support has been given to tho management of Everybody's Theatre this week, owing to tho production ol a powerful recruiting film entitled "AV ill Thov Nover Conic?" It shows the claims of war and the claims of sport, and one is convinced after seeing the film that the former is the greater call. Lord Liverpol and Mr. Massey have given their patronage to the film. The supporting films are of great interest. MACMAHON'S THEATRE. The change of programme at MacMahon's Theatre to-day is headed by one of the popular Domino dramas, entitled '"The Man at the Key," which tolls the story of the averting of a great calamity by the presence of mind and heroism of a telegraph operator. "The Fatal Black Bean," the second drama, is a thrilling story of the Mafia nnd its dark and sinister methods. In the comedy section the Edison diversity, | "A Canine Rival," takes pride of place, but "Music Hath Charms," a "Komic" comic is an equally irresistible mirthprovoker. Tlie Gaumont Graphic will supply a new budget of "doings" at Heme and on the Continent. On Tuesday next Charlie Chaplin will return to Wellington with his second Essanay triumph "A Night Out," and lie will bo located at the popular Manners Street Theatre for a week—six "nights out" in all. THE EMPRESS THEATRE. Part two of the Selig Company's wild animal drama, "The Adventures of Kathlyn," will bo presented with tho new programme at the Empress Theatre continuous pictures to-day and to-night. In this chapter of tho story Kathlyn learns that the real king is alive in a jungle hut. Tho heroine and her friends go to the king's rescue, and succeed, although UmbaTlah attempts to forestall them. The king resumes his place on ..the throne, but he meets with a tragic end, through a wild animal. Supplementary films include: 'Caught in the Park" (Keystone farce-comedy). "The Night Operator at Buxton" (Kalem drama), "The Australian Gazette," and "Wyman's Prize Horses" (topical). SUNDAY CONCERT. Miss Kuby M'Donald, violinist, is arranging a concert to take place in tlie Town Hall on Sunday evening in aid of tlie Fund for Wounded Soldiers. Miss M'Donald has been promised the assistance of Mr. Bernard Page, Mr. Hamilton Hodges, Mr. Culford Bell, Mr. Ernest Quereo, Miss Teresa M'Enroe, and Miss L. Simpson. Miss M'Donald will play the "D Minor Concerto" by Wienia, vski. "CINDERELLA." Eighteen magnificent scenes, an abundance of clever and wholesome comedy, catchy nrasic, superb costumes, wonderful specialty turns, original and brilliant ballets, are some of the ingredients utilised in making "Cinderella," which is to be staged here by the J. C. Williamson, Ltd., management on Wednesday night next and six following evenings, 'and on the afternoons of June 12 and 16 a most successful pantomime extravaganza. Barry Lupino ia' assisted in tho merrymaking by Mr. Arthur Stigant, specially engaged in I/ondon for the part of the Dame, and by Mr. Jack M'Ardle, another London artist, also Mr. Rupert Darrell, Dorothy Firinin, Leslie Gaze, and Gertie Latcliford add to the humour of the pantomime. Miss Minnie Love's delightful personality fairly captivated Australian playgoers from the moment she made her appearance in the role of the principal "boy," and Miss Dolly Castles, Celia Chilani, Marjorie Bray, and Charlie Albert were conspicuously successful in their various characters. The wonderful acrobatic feats of the Tiny Tot Marjorie and Little Eileen will, it is said, astound local playgoers, and the dancing of Miss Maud Amer.v in the various ballets is described as being remarkable. Amongst the numberless features in "Cinderella" are: The great fishing scene, tho hunting ballet, the bewildering slanting paths, the wild Slower spectacle, tho boudoir ballet, the beauty pageant, the hlue bells ballet, the sliding staircase, the period ball, the enchanted castle, tho wedding ol Cinderella. and tho esoulade, presenting Great Britain, her Allies, and her colonies. At tho matinee performances only will be produced the screamingly humorous Harlequinade. The box plans will be opened for' the entire season at tho Bristol at 9 a.m. on Monday. A queue ivilV bo formed from 8 a.m.
