ELLERSLIE TRACK WORK. (By Tolegraph.—Press Association.) Auckland, June 1. The weather was again cold and showery for training operations at Ellerslie this morning. The grass and sand tracks (rare open.. I'vince Soult beat King Chiara over six furlongs on the grass in Imin. 22scc. Tact went better than Zion over five furlongs on fcho grass in Imin. G 2-isee. Soultikoff, Tragedy King, and Jolie Fille finished in that order after a round on the grass in 2min. 0 2-ssec. Potoa beat Hopje over four furlongs in 511 3-ssec. Ladoga galloped two rounds at an easy pace. After breakfast, Spalfish and Tararu Jack went six furlongs on the sand in Imin. 17 4-ssec.
BluesUme covered five furlongs on the grass in Imin'. 6sec.
Emperador finished stronger than Bimeter at the end of four furlongs on the grass in 51 4-ssec.
Corrie, General Webb, and Birkful were in that order at the end of a round 011 the grass in 2min. Isec. Patronale covered six furlongs on the sand in Imin. 19sec.
Toki went a mile on the grass, tho last half taking 55 3-ssec. Blue Garment finished a length in front of Vascular, nith Campeador beaten off, over a round on the grass in Imin, 59 2-asec.
Kaniki covered five furlongs on the sand in Imin. 7 1-ssec.
LI Gallo bent Black Northern over a round on the sand in 2niin. .1 l-ssec. Admiral Soult beat Wuimangu over the same distance on the sand in Imin. 59 2-ssec.
Crown Pearl and Haskayne finished together, with Hyettus 2soc. away, over s!x furlongs on the grass in Imin. 22sec. Combustion galloped six furlongs on the sand in Imin. 18 l-ssec., and Toreador four furlongs on the sand in Msec. . Glenroy went half-a-milo on the sand in 50 2-ssec.
Colonel Soult covered seven furlongs on the sand track in Imin. 30 2-ssec. Immensity ■ and Hereford were schooled over six hurdles, jumping well. Advancer negotiated two huTdlea. Glenorchy and Tarero jumped a couple nv "i? ' aD d then did useful work. Tirohanga and Harbour Light jumped four hurdles in good stvle. Sandy Paul, Bercola, Hasin, and Styrax went a round of the big fences, Jackman 111 behind. With l the exception "k" ' os ' k' s r ider at the sod " a ' double, the others jumped well. ' v
