"THE PRIVATE SECRETARY"
Tho "Charley' 6 Aunt" Comedy Company, winch has had a very successful tour through New Zealand, is to pro-1 duce the well-known comedy "The Private Secretary," at King George's Theatre, Lower Huit, on Monday night. The principal characters mil be played by Dr. Norman Hales and Mr. Norman Aitken, Misses Ruby Scott, Marie Fix, Hardinge-Maltby, and Ethel Lissack. Speaking of the Auckland production, tho "Star" says: "An audience the size and the merriment of which are rarely exceeded in Auckland witnessed the third production of the 'Charley's Aunt" Comridy Company. . . His Excellency the Governor, the Earl of Liverpool, and the Countess of Liverpool were present, and this was the signal for a patriotic demonstration. Throughout the evening the company sustained the reputation achieved in "the earlier performances, and their efforts were rewarded.by flattering applause." "The Private Secretary" will be played at Petons on Tuesday night.
