INDIAN NOBLES AND THE WAR

\. _ Delhi, May 13. Indian nobles aro intensely interested in the progress of tho war, the conditions of tho combatants and tho wounded.
Leading chiefs of Kathiawar liavo given £15,000 for the purchase of motor ambulances. The Begum of Bho pal has donated £325 to tho Belgian Relief Fund, the Maharaneo of Danta £1000 for motor ambulances, the Maharaja of Patiala a quantity of clothos for tho Sikh soldiers and sweetmeats for all Indians on active service on the King's Birthday, and the Rajah of Schawal £66 for comforts for tho Indians.
Tho St. John Ambulance Society,' which has already given four motor ambulances. is now endeavouring to form a. regular fleet. Two motor launches have been sent to the Persian Gulf. The society has also dispatched gifts. Over 45.000 Rod Cross gifts include a motor ambulance.
The Ranee of Bighri, the ladies of Assam and the provinces of the northwest frontier, and English and Indian ladies continue working hard. A constant stream of necessaries and comforts continues to leavo India.
