Mexico, United States of Colombia, Ecuador Venezuela, British, Dutch, and French' Guiana, United Kingdom and Continent of Europe close at Auckland, per Niagara" on Tuesday, May, 18, at 8.30 a.m. Late letters for mails beyond the Dominion cannot in future bo posted on the steamer, but must be posted in the latelotter posting- box at the Ohief Post Office up to the appointed time shown on the mail notice. The advertised times for closing mails by steamers are liable to alteration (earlier or later) at any moment. The parcel-post mail per Main Trunk express closes at the 0.P.0. at 11.30 a.m., and for the south per ferry steamer at 5.45 p.m. Parcels for dispatch by steamer end trains, with the exception of the usual I ferry steamers for southern offices, close at the Ohief Post Office, Wellington, one hour before the advertised times of closing of mails. , „ , As the lost clearance of the CityV receivers is made at 5.45 p.m. on Saturdays, all correspondence for the Sunday night Auckland express must be posted at the Chief Post Office not later than 8 p.m., on Sunday. . , The public are earnestly requested to register all letters containing money or valuables intended to be sent by post.
