SENSATION IN FEDERAL POLITICS
PANAMA COMMISSIONERS RESIGN. (By Telegraph—Press Assn.—Cops-right.) (Reo. May 11, 1.15 a.m.) # . . Melbourne, May 10. 'A sensation has been caused in political circles by the resignation of Messrs. Deakin and Nielsen, Commissioners to the Panama l Exhibition. The reasons for the resignations ar© being withheld, but it is surmised that they are the outcome of strained relations between Mr. Deakin and Mr. Mahon, Minister of External Affairs. The Federal Cabinet will consider the position to-morrow.
