MEMORIAL SERVICE IN THE CITY

AT NEWTOWN PARK. An intercessory service in connectionwith the Lusitania tragedy will be held at Newtown Park on Sunday next. Tho Prime Minister (the Hon. W. P. Massey) and the Minister of Defence (the Hon. James Allen) have promised to attend. The National Reserve and local military bodies are expected to turn out in force. The clergy and the city bands have also promised their assistance.
