WAGON ACCIDENT. (By Telegraph.—"Press Association.) Hamilton, April 27. William Hunter, late of. Amberley, for many .years head shepherd on the leviotdale Estate, Canterbury, had both his legs broken in a wagon accident at Okoroire on Friday, and died in the Waikato Hospital last night. V SUICIDE OF A' LABOURER. Hastings, April 27. ( Thomas Hopewell, aged 34, a labourer, recently from Dunedin, committed suicide by_ cutting his throat with a razor last night. He leaves a widow and three children. MAN FOUND SHOT. Chrlstohuroh, April 27. ' William Bennett was found with a shot wound in the throat and an automatic pistol near by at Lincoln this morning. He was removed to the Christcnurch; Hospital and is not expected to live. FALL DOWN A STEAMER'S HOLD. Auckland, April 27. Before the/Sydney steamer Riverina which left Auckland at half-past two this had reached Tin Tin a seaman named James Carroll, aged 28, fell down the hatchway. He landed on his feet and injured ibis spine. The vessel at once put back, and after the man had been landed he was taken up to the Hospital. The steamer left again for Sydney at 4.20 p.m.
