THE MAORI CONTINGENT
THEIR DESTINATION IS MALTA,
The Prime Minister informed a reporter yesterday that- the destination of the Maori contingent which left New Zealand some two months ago is Malta. When the services cf the Maoris were accepted, it was understood that they were to gc to Egypt to do garrison duty there. Later, when things developed m Turkey, our liold force went to Egypt, and there has. been speculationits. to whether the Maoris would go to join the main body at Cairo. It appears, however, that they are to be reserved for garrison duty at Malta.
