VICTORY FOR THE UNION FORCES (R-eo. 'April 23, 9.15 p.m.) Cape Town, April 23. Official.—The vTJnion Army's right wing, under Colonel Dirk Van der Venter, defeated the enemy at Kabus, twenty miles north of Keetmanshoop, from which place they are retreating. "The enemy's force, totalled sis hundred, with five field-guns. They lost forty' killed and wounded. Our losses were slight."
