It is anticipated that at the conclusion of the-Territorial annual camps, now being held in different parts of the country, that a great number of those who are of the proper age -will enlist in the forces that are beinj; drafted off to the front. The Recruiting Officer in Wellington (Sergeant-Major „W. A. Johnston) has been asked to send out registration cards to the camp at Karori, and it is anticipated that from the sth Regiment alone there will bo over 200 enlistments. N.C.0.'3 Called Up. The non-commissioned officers for the "First Extras" are to go into camp on April 28—Wednesday next. This means that the men for the "First Extras" ■will be -wanted about four weeks hence, as it is usual'to accustom the N.C.O.'s thoroughly.to their (wartime) duties before the men aro called tip. Four months' training at Trentham will be needed before the troops are fit to be sent overseas. The Seventh Reinforcement will be the last as far as the Main Expeditionary Forco is concerned. After the departure, of the Seventh the force to be organised will be the First Reinforcement of the "First Extras." The number of non-commissioned officers needed from the Wellington district for the "First Extras" is twentythree. There are already a number of applications in hand.
