RUSSIAN EXPEDITION TO CO-OPERATE
REPORTED LANDING OF ANGLO-FRENCH TROOPS
, , London, 'April 21. An Odessa message says that the Allies are awaiting en expedition from the Black Sea to co-operate in the Dardanelles. They have already increased the stringency of the blockade. —(''Times and Sydney "Sun" Services.) An official message from Berlin states that thirty-five thousand AngloFrench troops havk landed at Mudros (in the island of Lemnos, west of the Dardanelles). It is believed that the action in the Dardanelles is about to be resumed. ' . The Suez Canal has been fortified for its entire length. The strength of the troops is comparatively weak. A new attack is expected in the vicinity of Port Said.
RUSSIAN TORPEDO BOATS ACTIVE
TEN TURKISH VESSELS SUNK.
. , Petrograd, April 21. Russian torpedo boats at Anatolia, Asia Minor, on April 18 and 19 sank ten Turkish vessels, with ammunition and stores.
The High Commissioner reports:—
