HESIONE WINS THE CUP, (By Telegraph.—Press Association.) Invercarglll, April 5. The first day of the Riverton Racing Club's annual' meeting was held to-day. The weather was fine but overcast, and track was heavy. The principal steeplechases were spoiled owing to numerous mishaps. The totahsator %ures were:-K1915, .814,611; 1914, ,£17,892. The race was a chapter of accidents, every horse in the race meeting with some mishap or other. Golden Grape TOs tho only horse to cover the course without unseating his rider, and he baulked at one jump. Won easily. The third horse was a long way off.. Tolstoi was the only other to finish.
