ROTTMANN'S BURIAL.
Sir, —I was astounded to read in your paper that a certain section at Karori had taken exception to the interment of the unfortunate young man in the Karori cemetery. It is scarcely conceivable that a fine young life which has paid the extreme penalty cannot be allowed to rest without such. distinctions being made. I daresay there aro hundreds of people, lite myself, who have loved ones interred at Karori, who would never dream of raising an objection liko the one mentioned in your journal. May I point out that it is not beyond the bounds of possibility for even residents of Karori to qualify for a similar fate as Rottmann'sP I do not hold any brief for murderers of anj nationality, but there is, I hope, such a thing as Christian charity. Talk about human, kindness! Verily, the Karori sample is a gem.—l am, etc., . . ' A SIAN. l'ahiatua, March 10.
