_ Sydney, March 11. The Labour caucus has discussed the grievance leading up to Mr. Carmichael's Resignation from the Ministry. It is understood that Mr. Carmichael stuck to ihsis guns, and that Mr. Holm an maintained his right to determine Ministers' turder of precedence. Mr. Holman stated generally at the ( §\? CUS bought Mr. Carmichael wild wrong in precipitating a crisis. : Mr. Carmichael rejected all entreaties reconsider his position. - It is understood that Mr. Holman suid Mr. Carmichael differed 1 on the c[uestion as to whether Mr. Hall (Attor"W'General) was entitled to higher Cabinet Tank than Mr. Carmichael, the laitter contending that in the event of too absence of Mr. Holman Mr. Cann (o : hief Secretary) should be entitled, ow-l-ni? to his length of service, to be Act-ing-Premier.
