CARPENTERS' CONFERENCE
e A conference of delegates to the Amalgamated Society of Carpenters and Joiners opened at the Beehive Chambers yesterday. The principal business was in connection with the revision of rules. Mr. Ed. Morton is president and Mr. Ivor Hazell secretary. Following are the delegates:—Messrs. T. Bloodworth, J. W. Mitchell (Auckland), F. A. Moody (Christchurch), H. N. Hollow (Timani), T. Jackson (Rotorua), J. Moulton (Hastings) 'J. Hodaons (Palmerston North), J. Ross (Wanganui), A. G. Fawcett (Nelson), C. Provan (In- | vercargill), F. Singleton and W. Homer 1 (Wellington). The conference is being held in private, and may be expeoted to last two or throe days.
