TIMARU FARMERS' PROTEST.

The Timaru Branch of tho Farmers' Union has passed a resolution protesting against the prices of wheat and flour being fixed at s. timo when these products have not reached abnormal values, and stating that the union coneiders tlio action of the Government is unjustifiablo in making the maximum less than the .present market prices; in view of the declino in wheat-growing, and the appeal made to farmers to increase their wheat areas, tho proclamation is most inopportune.
