A race flown from Hawera under the' auspices of the Hutt Valley Homing Pigeon Society resulted, a-s follows:— Whitehead and Booth's "Dreadnought," 1, time 3hrs. llmin. 26sec, velocity 607.43 yards per minute; R.- Booth's "Bed Heron," 2, time 31ir. 36nun. 28sec, velocity 871.38 yards per minute; W. J. Smith's "Midnight, , 3. time 3hr. 44min. 15soc, velocity 840.20. yards per minute. The noxt race will be flown from New Plymouth.
