EXAMINATION RESULTS

The results of tho nmiiml examination of scholars in schools connected with the Wellington Sunday School made- available ou Thursday. The examiners were:—Mrs. T..H. Gill, Misses Helyer, and C. E. Kirk, Mr. T. H. Gill. M.A., LL.B., <uul Mr. G. W. Morice, M.A The scholars were divided into five grades according to ages. Those gaining 75 marks and over win prizes and first-class certificates; those gaining 60 marke and under 75 leceivo second-class certificates, end 40 marks and tinder CO gain a third-class certificate. Of tho 508 scholars competing, 465 gain a certificate or prize. '? There were moro soholars.cpmpeting this year than last, but as the Palmerston North Subriinion is examining the schools in its district, this means that U5 scholars, are withdrawn from the main Iwt. It has been arranged to distribute the prizes and certificates on 'September 18.' Their Excellencies the Earl and Countess of Liverpool have kindly' consented to present the prizes. Tho first prizes are as follow:-^ Grade I (sixteen years ; and under eighteen): Eric Black (Nelson Baptist), 81. Grade II (fourteen years and under sixteen); Helga Lynneberg (Ngaio Methodist), 100.
