Mr. J. H. 6raiß, postmaster at_Tai« h ape, will retire from the s'eryico early next month on superannuation. Hβ has been connected with the Poet and Telegraph Department for over forty years. Mr. W.J. Blake, who was a wellknown resident of Wanganui, end who acted, for many years as Inspector of Factories and Awards for that town, , died recently at New .Plymouth. Mr. Blake was also well known in Wellington, whore ho was connected with the staff of the Labour Department, prior to. being retired on superannuation about five years ago. The cause of death was heart failure. . '
