MANAWATU HUNT CLUB
The end-of'the 1911 hunting season of tlift Manawatu Hunt (Hutt branch) was marked' by two runs, one at Bellevue Gardens on Saturday, and one at Taita. on Monday. The weather was splendid on both occasions, and'tha going all that could be desired. Tho drag on both occasions was laid by Mr. W. Jreseder (Freestep). Mr. A. M. Samuel (Chum) and Mr. J. Sexton (Papa) controlled field and pack respectively; and visitors and followers comprised the following Miss Scales (Joker), Mr. G. H. Scales, Miss Campbell, Miss Hayyrard (Tulune), ' Miss Harris. (Stonetfall' JAckson), Miss Vallance (Kahumingi), Miss Burke (Grandee), Mrs. Park (Taita), Messrs. Evison (Complexity), MaxSvcll (Clover), Burrows (Marzah), Walsh (Sir .Mauser), W. Jones (Wainni), C. France (Waterloo), Gordon (Ginger), 0. B. Walker. (Lady), T. Benge (Benzine), W. Clay (Merovingian), W. Dick (Oakley). W- Dram (Outlaw) J. Feenev (On Foot), W. Dick (Manuka), C G. Hayward (/The Rake), J. Hunter (Bumper), Donald Mackay (Bob Whiteman), J, O'Keefe (Nora Creiiia), W. Reynolds (Check), G. Schmidt (Velvet), F. Seymour (Collarbone), J. Turner (Bareback), WiecUern (Major), M. Welch. G. Cudby, N. H. ilackio (Drummer Boy), and many others. The close of tho season for the olub will be celebrated with a ball at Palmerston on August 18, and the steeplechase meeting on the following day.
