REFORM LEAGUE.
Tho Reform Party organiser (Mr. A. A. Paape) convened-a successful meeting at Shannon on Saturday night. Mr. ;E. Law ■ presided. It was decided to form a" branch of the Reform League, and officers were appointed as follow :— President, Mr. E. Law; vice-presidents, ■Messrs. G. N. Stevenson, R. W. Taylor, and A. Saunders; secretary,' Mr. W.■ Law; committee, J. Mitchell, A. Saxon, E. C. Knyvett, C. B. Robinson, and —■ Exali. During last week Mr. Paape addressed nine ' meetings in different parts of the Otaki 'electorate, and at all of them.branches.of the league were successfully ■■ formed.' The. organiser states that he is more than satisfied, with the results which have' attended h'is efforts.' It was'surprising, he said, to note the number of people now coming forward as active supporters,'of. the Reform Party who had for years past, and particularly at. last election, been its active opponents..';'.'' . : .' •■'_"' ' ': Continuing his organising eampaicn' in the'Otaki electorate, Mr. Paaps will address meetings at Tokomaru to-night, at Motoua and Foxtori to-morrow night, at Rangiotu. and Taikorea on Thursday, and at Glenoroua on Friday.
