FOE A SUPREME COURT FIXTURE., ' - Mr. M. Mjers yesterday applied for a date to bo fixed for tho hearing of the appeal, the Lower Wairau River Board, against the Sprink Creek River Board.' v Tho case name on in the Supiomo Court last month when tho Chief Justice (Sir Robert Stout) made an order that a gro.inc in the bed of tho 'Wairau River be removed up,to a ecitnin point and intimated that if the order was not ' cniricd out the Court would proceed 1 further. The ordor was susuended for - a foitnight ill order that Air.' Myers , (for tho Wairau River Board) rcinht carrv the case to tho,Court of Appeal. When Mr. Myers made his anplica- i tion yesterday, tho Cliiof Justice said that there would bo nothing else on Tuesday next, and suggested that dite Mr. Myeis lcplied that a great deal ' of punting was necessary, and esmwsed doi'bi as to whether it would bo ready in time.
