Tho Otago ladies', championship golf tournament was continued to-day, when tho first round of the championship (match play), and a bogey handicap were- got off- Four boles wero played by Mrs. Allan (Cbristchurch) and Mrs. Rattray to settle who was to occupy eighth place in tho draw, and Mrs. Allan won. The result of the first round of the championship is:—Miss Theomiit beat Miss M'Carty, 1 up at nineteenth hole; Mrs. Orbell beat Miss K. Rattray, i up and i to pla.y; Mrs. Cohen beat Mrs. Sargood, 3 and 2: Mrs. Allan boat Miss fisher, -k and 2. Tbo Bogey Handicap resulted in a win for Mrs. Sargood, 5 down. A heavy north-east wind was blowing, and scoring in consequence was high. Mrs, MaeKio and Miss M'lntosk camo.ncxt, each 6 down. Only ten .cards wero handed in out of 43 entrants. The putting competitions havo been won by Mrs. Mae'Kio (-10) and Miss. Cowlisliaw (8V),
