IMPORTANT MAIL CHANGE
BY SHAW, SAVIMi BOATS, An iniportant ahange is about' to coino iiito operation as far as the mail steamers of. the Sfciw, Snviß, and Albion Company's fleet- are 'concerned. For many years Plymouth lias been the Channel port of call for raail steiraers both to and from Wellington and London. Cable advice lias been received by the local agents for the company stating that it has been' decided to omit' Plymouth altogether i>s future. Tlie outward-botniti liners will embark, passengers at London as usual, and will proceed thence io Teneriffe, Cape Town, Hobart, and Wellington. Tito Homeward-bound maj.l steamers, after leaving Tenerrffe> will ' call at Cowes Roads (Southampton) to land isails and all passengers. The vessels will then proceed on to London to discharge cargo. .. The accelerated service to England will bo. inaugurated by iI.M.S. lonic, leaving Wellington on Jul.v 16. No advice lias been received locally as to what steamer will commence tlte new time* table outwards
