PANAMA CANAL TOLLS REPEAL.

President Wilson, answering an objection that the repeal of the Panama Canal tolls is not consistent with tho Democratic platform, points out that the Exemption Bill was carried only with the aid of the Republican votes. The President expects the support of 200 Democrats when tho House votes on tho Bill.
STUBBORN OPPOSITION. (Rec. March 24, 11.15 p.m.) London, March 24. . Router's Washington correspondent states that stubborn • opposition has arisen in the House against the repeal of tho tolls.
A peculiar feature of the Opposition is that Mr. Champ Clark (the Speaker), Mr. Underwood (author of the Tariff Bill), and other politicians who usually support the Administration, are now opposing the repeal. . .
