FIRE AT OTAHUHU.
(By Telegraph.—Press AssociaMon.) • Auckland, December 24. A two-storied, building in tlio main street of Otalnihu, owned by Messrs. Lloyd and Co.,'and' occupied by Messrs. Nash (draper), Donovan Howard (dentist), ,nnd Win. Barber (residential tenant), was destroyed by firo this morning. Tlie building was insured for £350, and Mr. Donovan Howard's effects for £150. Mr. Nash' is a heavy loser, Imt his insurances are not obtainable. ■ Mr. Barber was uninsured. FIRE AT GORE. (By TeleßToph-Prcss AEootiallon.) Core, December 21. A lire last evening destroyed the liveroomed residence of Mr. John Smith at' Parlthill; near Gore. . The 'fire was noticed when the family was milking'.' Only a little furniture, was saved. The insu'r-. .inccs were £200 on tlio building' and £100 on the furniluro.
