Although' tho Electoral Defprtment is as yet unable to declare the fijinl polls, tho figures recoivcd by telegrriph from tho electoral officers show that the number of votes cast for candidates Kir thj® House of representatives is as follows:— For Liberal candidates .y. 921,361 For Labour candidates i 912,049 For Independents 49,183 For the Senate 2,846,472 persons voted for Liberals, 2,778,496 for Labour, and 108,572 for Independents.
