It seems that Auckland, as well as Port Chahirens, is prepared to grant permission to the owners of tho lndiabaiah to bring tlio vessel up to the wharf and tranship her frozen meat cargo to a vessc lying alongside. 'I'ho local agents, Messrs Bannatyno ami Co., telegraphed to th( ageats of the company at Auckland ask*, ing them to eoe the Harbour Board authorities thoro 011 the point, with tlio result that a reply has been 'received agreeing to meet the company in tlio niannor stated. Tho Wellington llarbour authorities here still refuso assent to the wishss of tho agents and underwriters, who do< sire to avoid tho damage to tlio frozen moat cargo which must result from the extra handling if tho Vessels do not lis alongside each other.
