——■» RANGITIKEI RACING CLUB. ANNUAL MEETING. (By Telegraph.—Spccial Correspondent.) Wanganui, July 2. A meeting of the members o! the Enngitikei Racing Club was held at Bulls to consider alterations to rules. Mr. J. A. Bailey was in tlio chair. The alterations were approved. In moving the adoption of tho report and balance-sheet at the annual meeting, tho chairman. (Mr, Bailey) said he could confidently congratulate'the club on its position. It was in a better position than last year, and there was every prospect of a bright future. Most other clubs showed increased totalisator -receipts, and h.?> fuw no reason why the Bulls Club should not follow suit.' If tho club was fc-rtunate enough to get its old dates back—January 1 and 2—he was sure there would be a record meeting.' The election of ofliecrs resulted as under:—Patron, Mr. Donald Fraser; president, Mr. J. A. Bailey; vicepresidents, Messrs. D. C'oghlan, J. (J. Wilson, J. H. Perrett, and J'. M'Kelvie > treasurer, Mr. 11.I 1 . J. Mansell; auditor, Mr. F. Syrnes; committee, Messrs. li. 0. Bailey, K. W. Dalrymple, J. B. Johnstone, A. A. M'Donnell, Lynn M'Kelvie, W. J. Phillips, T. P. ftichardson, J. E. Walker, and J. H.. Whisker. There is one vacancy left for tho committee to (ill. Messrs. F. J. Mansell, J. G. Wilson, and J. F. •M'Kelvie, in recognition of their many services, were elected life members. TROTTING ASSOCIATION. (By Telegraph—Press Association.) Christchurch, July 2. A meeting of tile Now Zealand Trotting Association was lieM this afternoon.. The secretary of the Wiest Australian Trotting Association wrote explaining the position of his association, and-protesting against the action of the Victorian Trotting Araociation in cancelling reciprocal arrangements and entering into relations with the Westral Trotting Association, which was a proprietary body. Referoiice was also made to tho fact that horses that had been disqualified by the West Australian Association had been allowed to raco at a meeting under the control of the Victorian Trotting Association. Th? seoretary of the Victorian Trotting Association wrote (in reply to a letter from the New Zealand Association) stating that relations with the West Australian Trotting Association had been broken off because of a numerously-signed requisition from . West Australia. As a further reason tho letter stated that the West Australian Trotting Association had advertised certain stakes, and had subsequently placcd provision in the. entryforms that, if' the meeting was not a financial success, the stakes would only bo paid pro Tata. ' It was resolved to. suspend reciprocal relations with the Victorian Trotting Association. The secretary of the Forburr Park Trotting Club wrote with regard to the case of Mr. A. D. Hudson, who had been, cautioned in connection with the Tunning of the mare' Bermaline. The club stated that no fresh information had been forthcoming, and that it considered that the case was closcd, Mr. A. I). Hudson wrote, referring again to the manner in which the inquiry of the stewards' of tho Forbury Park Trotting Club had been conducted. It was decided to write to the club asking for further information.
