The following officers were elected:— £ resident, Mr. J. Gallie; vice-president, j. J. Trevor; hon. treasurer, Mr. J. AV. Salmon; hon. secretary, Mr. S. H. Underwood; directors, Messrs. W'. H. ohittoy, 0. Pankhurst,' J. Sexton, J. i'lyger, and F. J. Caterer; hon. auditors, Messrs. W. M'Lay and H. Fieldhouse; delegate to N.B. Association, Mr. S. H. Underwood; delegates' to,AV.B. Centre, llessrs. J. Sexton and S. H. Underwood. Trophies were presented to the following:—Champion singles, Mr. G. E. Prince (for the sixth time); champion pi Ira, Messrs. Smith and Prince (s.); Under,wood cup, Mr. F. C. Lennon; president's trophy, Mr. F. W. Revell; Boxing Daypairs, Messrs. J. Russell and J. Brackenridge (s.). , .... Before vacating tho chair, ,the retiring -president thanked the retiring directors nnd the members fortheir support during his very pleasant ( term of office. The newly-elected president having taken tho chair, the question of raising the. annual subscription to £2 10s. was brought forward, Mr. J. Laughto'n moving to that effect, and the subject was very fully discussed. An amendment by Mr. J. M'Lean; that the subscription be raised to <£2 ss. found most favour' with the meeting, however, and _on a show of jiands was declared carried. The continuance of the social evening vras left to the new directors. Mr. TT. Crengel presented to the prwesident, for tho benefit of the club, a piano, the cost of which had in the main been, provided by the subscriptions from members. The instrument is a very decided acquisition to the equipment of tho pavilion, and the president, in accepting it, made complimentary reference to tho enthusiasm of Mr. Crengol, and moved that he be accorded o very hearty vote of thanks. I'his was carried by acclamation. Mr. Langhton brought forward a motion that the new directors be recommended to endeavour to classify the Wednesday and the Saturday players of tho club. After ,a prolonged discussion, the jaotion was defeated on a show of hands.
