VIOLIN CONCERT.

A violin concert was given in the Oriep tal Bay Kiosk, by Mr. H...Pcrcival Clarko and his violin pupils Inst evening. Tho hall was packed' and the pupils, some of whom were just six years of ago, rendered their concerted and individual vfcema . in a pleasing mauner. The entortaiiunent; opened with a rendering of C. H. Danclar's "Four Petite Trios" (op. 99) orranged by Mr. Clarke for thirty violins, Violin solos by Master J. Ridler and Miss Ruby White followed,_ and Mr. C. > V. Mohr sang "Stonecracker John." Pop mi encore he gave "King Charles" and "Prince Ivan's Song." A violin sold (three movements of Mazurka de Coiij cert) was rendered by Mr. P. Clarko, and he had to respond' to ail encore. Var« ions other items were contributed by pup'ils. Miss Pauline Anbetoll was tha accompanist. Masters B. O'Brien and J« llidler', two little winners in the loist Now' Zealand competitions, were heard to ad< vantage in concerted music.
